SYNOPSIS
Off the coast of Sfax, the Kerkennah Islands stand as silent witnesses to the upheavals of the world. Once a peaceful fishing haven, this land on the route to Lampedusa now faces the destructive impacts of a new invasive crab, overfishing, rising sea levels, oil pollution, and the migration crisis. As the Kerkennians struggle to adapt or leave, the island's traditional way of life is in jeopardy.
This documentary explores the generational clash between the wisdom of the elders and the pragmatism of the youth, as the people of Kerkennah confront the changing elements, the cycle of departures and returns and the question of what will survive or disappear.
