SYNOPSIS
From Jerusalem to Haifa, stopping by Acre, Bethlehem and Ramallah, we travel across Israel and the West Bank to meet with Palestinian women shaping the cultural landscape. This documentary sheds light on these activists, feminists, entrepreneurs, artists, who are striving to build a future in a divided and much disputed country.
Nadia and Yasmine, two Palestinians from Nazareth, take us to Acre, a mixed town on the sea coast, to meet Safaa, a rapper, who sings against the racist laws of the Israeli government.
With Nadia, we take the winding road used by the Palestinians to avoid checkpoints. In front of the graffiti on the separation wall, we talk about the issue of street harassment.
Yasmine, DJ in Haifa, belonging to the Palestinian minority based in Israel, tells us about the divisions that separate her from other Palestinians in the West Bank.
Ghadeer, designer, takes us to the Old City, where some Arab blocks have been destroyed and whose Arab architecture of the mosque has been erased. This mosque sends her back to her invisibility in the public space as a Palestinian.
Natalie, a fashion designer, uses the Palestinian patterns of traditional dresses, to make her own prints. She tells us about the difficulties of setting up a business in East Jerusalem.
